Every now and then something happens while showing a home to a client that well…I sure wish hadn’t! I’ve been working with new client’s we had gone to view several homes together a couple weeks ago. A new listing went on the market so I gave a quick call to inquire if they wanted to take a look at it that day, the client said that his wife was at work but he could go and he was very happy because the house was in the neighborhood that held the most interest for them.
I phoned the seller at 10:30 AM, it went right to message, I left my usual message stating who I was, which firm and the exact time I’d be there to show the home.

I picked up my client at about noon time and we drove over to the house. I knocked on the door (something I always do, just in case someone is home) no answer, I use my electronic key to obtain the key out of the key box, we’re in.
The house shows really nice, super clean, nice floor plan, at this time we had been in the kitchen and started to walk down the hall to view the bedrooms when the homeowner surprised everyone by coming out of the bath room, in her birthday suit. Uh oh! Now keep in mind, the client I have with me is a gentleman and now he is completely embarrassed as he has just seen a well aged woman running out of her bathroom, naked as a jay-bird!
We do a quick back up as the woman runs for her bedroom door.  My client is taking it all rather well but is kind of blushing. I said in my clearest voice "we’re in the kitchen" a minute later the home owner comes out and is very apologetic, I am too! So many apologies were floating around that kitchen that day! After I had assured her that I was a Realtor and ummm yup that’s my client, she gained her composure about it.
We continued on our way through the house and my client thankfully wasn’t the least bit fazed.
I sent the homeowner flowers later that day and called her a couple days later, she explained to me that she is a nurse and had been on the nightshift, then stopped for groceries, got home and the only thing on her mind was a hot shower-she said she never even thought to check the phone for any messages. During the call we actually got to giggling about it and her super personality shined through when she said "well did it work? are they going to buy my house?"
